Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. Taylor Swift was born on 13 December 1989 in Pennsylvania's West Reading. Swift is a pop/country songwriter and singer for more than 20 years. Her tales about romantic love in the midst of heartbreak and young love has earned her the acclaim of many during the 21st Century. Swift's interest in music began when she was a young age. From plays for children to singing in front of thousands of people, Swift made rapid progress. When she was 11 years old, she performed The Star-Spangled Banner before a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game and next year, she began playing guitar and started writing songs. Swift took inspiration from artists from the country genre, such as Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks and now the Chicks to come up with original songs which reflected the alienation she experienced by 13. Swift's parents relocated her to Tennessee at the age of thirteen after they sold their Pennsylvania farm. It allowed Swift to spend more time looking for labels to promote the country genre in Nashville.
